Interview with Noah of One By Monday

A little band outside of Atlanta, Georgia called One By Monday has dreams to one day make it big. I caught up with my good friend Noah Schindler , the singer and rhythm guitarist of the band, to catch up with him and discuss the band’s future.

Introduce yourself, what role you have in the band,  your favorite pizza topping, and pizza place.
Hi I’m Noah Schindler, I’m the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of One By Monday. My favorite pizza topping is sausage and my favorite pizza place is Antico’s.

Who else is in the band and what do they do?
Will Sutherland plays bass, Eric Ramos plays guitar, and Cameron Hines plays the drums.

How did you guys come together and how long have you been a band?
In middle school, Will, Eric and I wanted to play in our school talent show. Will played bass, Eric played drums at the time, and a guy named Josh played guitar. I never sang before that but no one else wanted to sing. After that, Cameron took over drums and Eric picked up lead guitar. Technically, we’ve been together for about 4 years.

How did you come up with your name?
Will came up with our name. For our school talent show we needed a name by Monday, thus One By Monday was born.

What type of artists and bands influence you and the band?
Each one of us has different bands that inspire us. For instance, I’m influenced by bands like The Doors and Led Zeppelin. Will likes Nirvana and Beck. Eric loves bands like Van Halen and ACDC. And Cameron is inspired by The Foo Fighters and Zeppelin.

How have you guys been getting the band’s name out?
We try to advertise our band through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. We also have a YouTube page where we upload our recordings.

I know that you currently have three demos, is there a One By Monday album fans can expect some time in the future?
Well, we have more than enough songs to create an album or two, so it’s just a matter of time before we get in the studio and record some more!

Out of the three demos, Cookies & Crème, Legs on Fire, and Summer Woman, which one is the most fun to play live and why?
Although Summer Woman is my favorite out of those three, Cookies & Creme is the most fun to play live. We always close with it and people go crazy.

What was the inspiration behind that song?
There are a lot of ways you can interpret “Cookies”. I say that I’m sick of the day-to-day routine of life (vanilla), and that I want to change things up and have fun (cookies & creme).

Is there anywhere the fans can listen to your music?
Yes! All of our recorded songs are on our Facebook page and on YouTube!
